KVN Design eNews #2 - 06.17.05
If the theme from last month’s issue of KVN Design eNews was “waiting is the hardest part” this month’s theme is “the heat is on.” But in a really good way.

Within a one week span in late-May KVN Design picked up three new accounts! Two of the new clients knocked on my door and I knocked on the door of the other. Much time has been spent writing proposals, asking lots of questions, sending emails, and creating mock-up website designs for each. In no particular order the three new clients are: Doodles Delights, Performance Real Estate, Inc., and Pediatric & Adolescent Associates (PAA).

Doodles Delights - “Doodles Delights is a place where the mommy-to-be and new mommy can find unique and luxury items not only for herself, but for her little one too”. When the full site launches later this summer there will be 30 items available for purchase online. As part of the launch of this young start-up KVN has also created a logo for Doodles Delights. Already available online is the product catalog and order form in PDF. To learn more and download the PDFs visit Doodles Delights online: formomandbaby.com

Performance Real Estate, Inc. - Based in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, Performance Real Estate specializes in premium resort communities in the western regions of the state, which includes custom homes nestled in the mountains of Lake Toxaway Estates. In addition to their first website, KVN also designed a quick logo for them. The completed site will contain listings and photos of Performance Real Estate’s properties. Performance Real Estate becomes KVN Design’s first out-of-state client. To learn more visit: performancerealestateinc.com

Pediatric & Adolescent Associates - PAA, located at the intersection of Harrodsburg Rd. and Corporate Center in Lexington, is going on it’s 46th year of caring for babies and children in central Kentucky. Some of PAA’s early patients now have grandchildren going to PAA. PAA would like a fresh, updated, easy to navigate website that the parents of PAA’s 15,000+ patients can use as a friendly health resource. To learn more visit: paalex.com

Lexington Hearing and Speech Center - Mock-up designs are underway for the Center’s new website. Here’s a big thumbs up to Sarah on an excellent recovery! To learn more about the Center visit: lhscky.org

kvndesign.com - Additions and updates have been on-going. All issues of KVN Design eNews (all two of them) are now archived. In addition to the eNews Archives is an eNews sign-up page. A Beneficiaries page has been added that lists current KVN clients, and former sites I designed and/or maintained/managed.

KT’s Motorsports Garage.com - Periodically I will receive a request from a visitor to my hobby site to use one of my automobile photographs for a museum display, publication article, or, as in April, for use on a program on the Discovery Channel. Last week I received another such request. This request is for use of a photo I took of a Moon automobile mascot (hood ornament and radiator badge) in 1993 in a Marriott hotel parking lot. Look for the photo to appear in the 2006 edition of Classique Collector Cars Daily Planner. Attendees to the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this year will receive a free copy of this daily planner. Needless to say I have found a new daily planner for next year. Six months early. Here is the photo of the Moon Classique requested.

Three Sites to Visit
      - Grocery Store Wars: Will make you want to grow your own vegetables.
      - TAZO Tea: Far more intriguing than it sounds.
      - Mille Miglia: Italy’s most famous and historic road race.

Ashley @ Georgetown College Alumni Association
I am confident in saying that the GCAA website is just as interactive, informative, and creative as any other larger university site. In many cases, it stands head and shoulders above the rest. Your hard work is much appreciated.
